Treating Neurodivergent Trauma in Autistic Clients: Step-By-Step Guide to Provide Effective Affirming Interventions
Copyright :

Although the mental health system is intended to help and support our autistic clients, it has historically been a source of trauma for autistic people. In fact, autistic individuals who received treatment that is considered “gold standard” are twice as likely to develop PTSD compared to autistics who did not receive this treatment. Clearly, we need system-level changes to ensure we provide appropriate support to our autistic clients.

It’s imperative that you join Dr. Amy Marschall, psychologist, author, and autistic adult, as she teaches you:

  • How autistic individuals experience trauma, both within our society and in the mental health system

  • Actionable changes you can make to your own practice to be neurodiversity-affirming, collaborating with your clients to get them the support they need!

Together, let's pave the way for a more inclusive and compassionate mental health landscape. Register now!
