This course provides a comprehensive overview of pediatric atopic dermatitis, covering its etiology, prevalence, impact on quality of life, and treatment options. Participants will gain insights into the relationship between food, allergies, and atopic dermatitis, as well as general skin care recommendations for patients with sensitive skin. Additionally, the course will address the various presentations of eczema and considerations for skin of color.

Ashley Smith Fraser, MSN, CPNP-PC

Ashley Smith Fraser, MSN, CPNP-PC, is a pediatric dermatology nurse practitioner at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. She earned her BSN and MSN from The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She was a nurse in the emergency department at Children’s National and has been a pediatric nurse practitioner in the dermatology department in Children’s National for over 5 years. She specializes in acne, atopic dermatitis and biologic therapies.
