Diane S Wrigley, BS, PA-C

Diane S. Wrigley currently works in family practice and emergency room settings in Maine's mid-coast hospitals. A Physician Assistant for 27 years, she has seen all ages from the young pediatric patients to the very elderly patients. Her clinical experience includes preventative health care, as well as managing acute problems and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, COPD, asthma and heart disease. Diane's years in a broad-based family medicine practice prepared her for being the provider in a 15-bed coastal hospital ER. Her responsibilities included being the house officer for the in-patients as well as taking call for five out-lying family medicine practices after hours. She is also an adjunct faculty at the University of New England Physician Assistant program, lecturing and precepting PA students in a rural health care rotation.

Diane's current practice is in a rural setting, where many assessment and treatment modalities found in large metropolitan areas are not readily available. Because of that, she has developed strong critical thinking skills, plus excellent assessment skills, as she cares for patients from start to finish. Diane's strategies and techniques have systematically and comprehensively improved patient outcomes.

Diane received her BS from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and her Physician Assistant certificate from University of California, Davis, Medical School, Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program. She was a faculty member in the Davis PA/NP Program teaching advanced clinical medicine. She has been a lecturer in the Ship's Medicine Course at the Maine Maritime Academy, where she trained ship medical officers to render medical aid when out to sea. Diane authored nine chapters in "Primary Care for Physician Assistants," edited by Dr. Rod Moser, PA-C. Please join Diane for this exciting and valuable seminar. It will improve the care you provide you patients the very next day.
